SEGA CDX
The Sega Genesis CDX otherwise known as the Mega Multi-X outside the USA was released in November 1994 at a hefty price of $399.99. It played both Genesis cartridges plus Sega CD games. The system could also be used with the 32X add-on but would only utilize 32x cartridges as the CD door would not open with the attachment on top. The CDX could also be used as a portable CD player with use of head phones and 3 AA batteries.
