NINTENDO GAME BOY
The Nintendo Game Boy was released in the US on July 31,1989 for a retail price of $89.99 USD. It is Nintendo's second attempt to creating a portable console following the Game & Watch series. The Game Boy was one the most successful handheld consoles surpassing the Game Gear, the TurboExpress and the Lynx selling 87.66 million units.
