ATARI 7800

The Atari 7800 ProSystem, or also known as the Atari 7800, is a video game system that was released by Atari Corp in January 1986 following the initial release in southern California in June 1984 after the sale of Atari inc due to the video game crash. The Atari would compete that year with the NES and the Sega Master System. It had simple digital joysticks and was backward compatible with most Atari 2600 games.
Considering it had an affordable at a price of $140.00 the software library suffered because of Nintendo's marketing success. It remained on the market until 1991 when Atari ceased it's production of the 2600,5200,7800,8-bit computer line and the XE Game System.
